Ask team-members at Waldron or the Firm’s clients and you’re sure to notice how they tap Mike. It’s not just for the business acumen he’s more than happy to share, but also for the high fidelity and holistic counsel he’s sought to provide. He’s got the credentials, passion, and great ideas you’d expect from a professional; the theme that emerges is that Mike is someone who can sift through any brand-challenging problem and find optimal solutions. His practical, humble guidance and thoughtful perspective, which shapes our strategies, tools, and practices, is invaluable to our clients and our team.

Mike joined Waldron in 2001 as a respected entrepreneur and experienced business executive. His extensive background in finance, technology, and general management, along with his deep commitment to philanthropy and the social sector, has made him a unique partner both to business and nonprofit leaders. In addition to his consulting work on Waldron’s behalf, Mike has served on many boards over the years in both the nonprofit and commercial realms, among them KCTS 9/ Cascade Public Media, Beta na Beto Villages Partnership, the Bellevue College Foundation, Career Partners International, High 5 Software, and Pacific Financial Holdings. He is an advisor and mentor to UW Foster School MBA candidates.

Prior to Waldron, Mike was CEO of Pacific Financial Holdings, raising capital and leading the growth and eight-fold expansion of this early stage venture. Earlier, he held a number of progressively senior executive roles in publicly-traded PrimeSource Corporation, now a division of Fuji Film. His expertise included business development, sales, and mergers and acquisitions, and his focus on acquisition and organic growth helped the company become the leading reseller of digital technology, capital equipment, and consumable products for the domestic print and publishing market. He holds an MBA in finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University and a BA in political science and journalism from the University of Washington.

When Mike isn’t in the office, you can often find him on the ski slopes or the soccer field. Philanthropically, he actively supports many organizations with missions aligned with social justice, housing, global health, poverty alleviation, development, conservation, the environment, and education.
