Kim’s professional mission is to make business better from the inside out by helping leaders create alignment between people, processes, and an organization’s guiding principles. As a self-described student of business, Kim has spent her career avidly studying and participating in companies with complex people and organizational dynamics. These experiences have influenced her role as a servant leader. At the core of her leadership belief is recognizing that helping others understand why their work matters, how it fits into the broader vision of the organization, and the importance of empowering employees to take ownership of the roles they hold are vital elements to best-in-class companies.
As President & Chief Operating Officer for Waldron, Kim focuses on working with Waldron’s exceptional leadership, consulting, coaching, and project management teams, as well as its staff members across all offices. Kim is responsible for leading the teams that deliver on day-to-day operations, while also adding client value as a practitioner leading Waldron’s Effective Organizational practice. Additionally, Kim is an integral strategic driver with the leadership team in retaining the organization’s strategic relevance for clients and communities as Waldron continues to scale and grow.
Kim is a published author, speaker, and entrepreneur at heart. Her passion for leadership and business growth came into alignment when she started The Innovare Group, a boutique strategic consultancy known for diagnosing and repairing organizational and leadership disconnects that impact strategy execution and business growth. Before making her mark as an entrepreneur, Kim was the Executive Vice President of Operations for Fierce, Inc., a global leadership firm specializing in helping companies build more collaborative corporate cultures. She brings over 20-years of experience as a cross-functional leader, executive and board advisor, leadership and organization development professional, coach, and entrepreneur. Kim has worked with Fortune-listed companies, mid-market growth organizations, and emerging startups, cultivating a holistic understanding of sustainable success, helping organizations and leaders to realize upon their potential.
Kim earned her International MBA from the University of Denver. In support of her passion for transformational learning, Kim is an adjunct faculty member at Seattle University, where she teaches MBA and undergrad courses on business strategy, operations, and leadership.
Kim lives in Seattle, Washington with her husband Peter and son Jackson. She enjoys golfing, traveling, and exploring great food and wine from around the world. Also active in the community, Kim leverages her extensive professional experience in humanitarian work and volunteering. She serves on the National Board of Directors for Dallas-based Susan G. Komen, as well as the Barbara McDowell and Gerald S. Hartman Foundation, focused on improving the economic well-being, social conditions, and civil liberties of disadvantaged persons and groups in the United States.
